Summer is finally here. (well, the heat is here)

Lily loves the sun, probably because she gets so cold during winter.
I love summer too, mainly because i don't have to constantly clean wet, muddy paw print floors.
It's just so lovely being able to walk the dogs on nice, dry fields, as most of you know the UK has terrible weather.

The only problem Ryan&I have with summer is that Bobby is VERY fair skinned so we have to put sun lotion on his ear's to protect him from sunburn, his skin on his ears are so thin and he always flaps his head so they turn inside out.
We use factor 50 for children/sensitive skin.

We always take the dogs swimming in the river too when it's hot, that always helps to cool them down
(if you do this yourself make sure its a safe river)
Fingers crossed this year Ryan&I can take Lily and Bobby to the beach to go swimming.

Lacey doesn't like water so she most defiantly wasn't impressed when Mum put her in the pool.
She got her own back though because once she got out of the pool she ran inside the house soaking wet.

I took these photo's whilst i was at home with my Mum.
My 4 year old sister wanted to have her paddling pool up and i thought it would be pretty cool to see if Lily could swim in it but she touched the bottom, HA HA
Me, My Mum&Billie-Jo (My sis) kept throwing Lily's Kong tennis ball into the pool so she kept leaping in and out of the pool to get it, this was a good way of keeping Lily cool and she had fun doing so.
(Luckily her claws didn't cut the material of the pool, we always keep their claws as short as possible so they don't cut things, so i guess that helped)

If you are a dog owner please be responsible and keep your dog indoors as much as possible, or make sure they have shade.
Also make sure they have a constant flow of cold drinking water.
