Pooch & Mutt Supplements.

Check out these fab products from Pooch & Mutt.

They sell a variety of products from supplements for skin, joints, overall health and even for those 'porky' dogs on the higher weight scale when we all know she should be smaller (in weight). I use the bionic biotic, mobile bones and salmon oil on Lily (itchy skin), Bobby (Lame/skips on leg) and Suzie (who sometimes gets dry skin).

Since using these products I have had amazing results. I could not recommend these products enough.

What is the difference between the original pellet form and the NEW powdered concentrate?

Both versions contain the same active ingredients that do the same job. The concentrated powder is more concentrated, meaning that you need to give less to get the same amount of active ingredients. The reason that we offer both forms is that some dogs/owners prefer the pellets (which we have had on sale since we started) and some prefer the new powdered products.

Can I feed Bionic Biotic with Mobile Bones?

Yes

Can I feed Bionic Biotic to a pregnant/ lactating bitch?

Yes. Not only will this help with the bitch’s condition, it will also help with lactation and the nutrient density of the milk – meaning that the puppies will benefit too.

Can I feed Bionic Biotic to puppies?

Yes. You can feed Bionic Biotic to puppies as soon as they are on solid food. As the amount that you feed depends on the dog’s weight a puppy will get less than an adult dog.

What is a Probiotic?

A probiotic promotes the optimum levels of ‘friendly bacteria’ in the gut, which allows the digestive system to work properly. A probiotic is the reason that humans have natural yoghurt and products like Yackult.

How long before I notice a difference?

We would expect you to notice a difference within 3 weeks, but every dog is different and it depends on the condition that you are hoping that the product will help with. If the condition is a visual one we recommend that you take a photo before your dog has the product and another one after about 5-6 weeks.

When will the delivery arrive?

(to UK Addresses) It should be with you in 3 days, but may be sooner.

Do they like it/ will they eat it?

YES. It is formulated with a natural palletant so they love the taste. If they do not eat it as a powder or a pellet then you can claim your money back in our guarantee.

Do you deliver outside the UK?

SALMON OIL FOR DOGS (and cats) 500ml:

– Skin and coat quality
- Cardiovascular health
- Immune response
- Cognitive/ brain function
- Joint function/ mobility
- Taste that dogs (and cats) love

Why feed omega oils

Omega 3 fatty acids cannot be made by your pet’s body, so it is vital that your pet consumes them as part of their diet. Since the 1930s it has been known that the omega 3 fatty acids docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) were essential for normal growth.
Further health benefits were discovered in the 1970s by researchers studying the Greenland Inuit Tribe, who consumed large amounts of omega 3 fatty acids from seafood. In September 2004 the US FDA gave “qualified health claim status” to EPA and DHA.
Omega oils are essential for skin and coat quality, cardiovascular/ heart health, immune response, cognitive/ brain function and joint function/ mobility.

Omega 3 (DHA) and puppies

Research has proven that DHA from fish oils makes puppies more intelligent, easier to train and improves memory.
For the research, carried out by Eukanuba, 9 week old puppies were taught how to recognise shapes that led them to a treat. After 5 days training twice the number of puppies fed on the high -DHA diet achieved an 80% success rate (in finding the treat in a T-shaped maze). The studies authors claim that this could save owners up to £1000 per year in behaviour correction fees.

British veterinary surgeon and dog behavioural expert Sara Heath commented on the research: “Enhancement of a puppy’s cognitive development and exposure to various learning opportunities can maximise the potential for it to develop into an adult dog that can be readily welcomed as a member of society.”
Source
Pooch & Mutt Salmon Oil is sustainably sourced from Atlantic Salmon reared in Scottish sea lochs under carefully controlled, natural and environmentally compatible conditions. The salmon oil has a rich taste that dogs (and cats) love.

WEIGHT MANAGEMENT SUPPLEMENT FOR DOGS

Triple Action:
- Burns fat
- Reduces appetite
- Improves muscle

Triple Action Weight Control.

1) Fat burning: Slimmin’ Tonic includes a range of active ingredients that are essential in the process of metabolising (burning) fat. These ingredients ensure that when your dog requires energy their body can get that energy requirement by burning fat. These ingredients are combined with others known to reduce the size of fat cells and ingredients known to increase the metabolic rate (so that more fat is burned). This means that your dog will be able to get more energy both from their food and their stored fat, enabling them to exercise more, even on a restricted diet.
weight loss for dogs - icon
2) Appetite reduction: Natural fibres in Slimmin’ Tonic absorb water in the dog’s stomach. These then expand a huge amount, making the dog feel fuller, thereby increasing the feeling of fullness and reducing appetite. A reduction in appetite means that your dog will eat less, giving your dog less calories. Your dog will therefore have to burn their body fat in order to obtain their energy requirement. The appetite suppressants in Slimmin’ Tonic allow you to reduce your dog’s food intake without them feeling starved.
3) Muscle building: Adding muscle to your dog has two major benefits. Firstly, by building muscle your dog will be able to exercise more and therefore burn more calories and fat. Secondly, the more muscle that your dog has, the higher the energy requirement to make the muscle function. This means that with more muscle your dog will burn more fat/ calories.

Slimmin’ Tonic is not a ‘magic bullet’ for weight loss. It needs to be fed in conjunction with a healthy diet and exercise regime. What Slimmin’ Tonic will do is make sure that your dog correctly burns the fat from the food that they do eat and develop muscle to help them exercise more.

My own success story:
I absolutely LOVE these products, I cannot express that enough and they are at a fab price too!
As most of you know, Lily & Bobby from from a 'bad' puppy farm breeder and they have a few problems between them both to do with health.

Well, Bobby has a 'funny' leg which sometimes he skips on. We were SO afraid of whether it was causing him pain so we took him to the vets and they said that it his was fine as it doesn't seem like it is causing him any pain. BUT, I wasn't convinced this was enough, I wanted to find something, not knowing what I was looking for I just kept searching online for stories similar to mine. I couldn't find anything, so I soon gave up.
BUT, hope was on the horizon when I found an advert in the 'Your Dog' magazine for Pooch & Mutt I went onto there website and read some reviews and they sounded fab so I soon ordered a pack and ever since, I haven't looked back...
It has improved his quality of life and he 'skips' much less than what he used to...

Now onto Lily. Well, ever since I can remember Lily has always been very itchy!
She would scratch, bite, roll around everywhere trying to itch her poor skin.
I thought maybe she was allergic to something in her current food so I changed her food to James Wellbeloved, Fish & rice, which improved her itching and skin quality but she still kept itching...
One day I noticed her itching more than normal, so, I checked that area and she had scratched SO much she had made herself bleed and had started to go bald. I felt SO sad and horrified that I couldn't do nothing for her.

I thought I would try her on these supplements before forking out hundreds of pounds, maybe even thousands of pounds for tests and skin scrapes and god knows what medication...

I ordered yumega plus for her but I personally found it didn't do much for her, it made her skin and coat VERY healthy but it wasn't what I was looking for, I wanted something that could stop her from itching and give her a glossy healthy coat!

By this time I completely forgot about Pooch & Mutt bionic biotic, I recieved my month 'Your Dog' magazine and saw the add again, so, yet again I found myself browing there website to see the ingrediants contents and other peoples reviews. I found myself convinced yet again to buy the product and give it ago.
Lily has now been on the product for around 3 weeks and she rarely itches, and when she does itch now, its a simple scratch due to a normal itch, not a 10 minutes scratch causing herself to bleed.
The great thing also about bionic biotic, is that its not just for the dogs skin/coat, it also promotes solid/healthy stools and overall health of your pooch!!

(The best thing is that Pooch & Mutt also do a sample of mobile bones and bionic biotic for a small price for you to try)

I reason I got the salmon oil was due to the fact that Lily and Bobby won 'Pooch & Mutts' July facebook competition, I wanted to try the salmon oil for Suzie as shes getting older and her skin was getting a tad dryer and her coat wasnt as shiny anymore...
We bought this product and well, her coat is so shiney and she no longer has any dry skin.
People compliment us on her coat ALL the time and people can't believe she is 8 years old either!!!

I hope you all have as much success as I have from 'Pooch & Mutts' fabulous supplements...

Remembering the animals-Victims of war.

At this time of year we see Poppy's sprouting up EVERYWHERE for the war victims. -But what about the animals, dont they deserve some recognision too?

Well, I came across this fab leaflet and purple poppy for Animal Aid.
(The Poppy was £1)

War is not just a human catastrophe. It's foten forgotten that millions of animals have been killed in human conflicts.

Historically, animals have used on the frontline, for transport, to rescue people and to carry messages.

More recently, scientists have wried electrodes into the brains of rats to harness their keen sense of smell, and the armed forces have used dolphins and seals for mine detection work. And vast numbers of animals - On farms, for instance - become victims when the bombing start. Shockingly, thousands of animals are also killed in the Ministry of Defence vivsection experiments. In top secret laboratories at Porton Down, sheep, goats, pigs, mice, rats, guinea pigs, monkeys, dogs and cats have been shot dead or killed by biological and chemical weapons. While millions of animals have lost their lives in human wars, they are rarely mentioned in rememberance ceremonies.
Animal Aid's purple poppy has been created to rectify this. It can be worn along side the red poppy to commemorate the animal victims of war.
